A senior communication officer provides communications support for the organisation across a range of work areas and topics. For this 12-month contract the successful candidate will be working across a range of programme areas supporting teams to develop engaging products and content for our NHS stakeholders, including working on the NHS Employers Armed Forces programme. You will also have the opportunity to work on the delivery of events as we have a busy event schedule each year. While it might be a short time, you will learn a lot about the NHS and its people, feel part of something great and take away new skills and experience to support your future communications career.Our team is a supportive network and as part of it you will:Draft content for our communications channels.Project manage product launches, campaigns and publications.Support events promotions and delivery.Help us to maintain and develop our website content and social media channels.Support your colleagues and pitch in when required.Be able to work flexibly and be self-motivated.A*bout you*You will have already worked in communications and have a proven track record in a range of comms disciplines. You will be able to demonstrate your excellent writing and editorial skills that will enable you to develop engaging content for bulletins, social media and the web. You should also have experience in delivering proactive communication campaigns and be able to develop communication plans. You should be able to demonstrate strong IT skills and be confident in learning to use new platforms.
