A 'GOOD' Primary School in the Oldham area of Manchester (OL9) are looking to recruit an 'OUTSTANDING' intervention TA to deliver interventions sessions to children across KS2 on a full-time basis starting in May 2021
The successful candidate will work in the school on a full time basis starting May 2021 and the position will be until the end of the academic year. The school are looking for a teacher who has experience teaching across KS2 and is knowledgeable of the KS2 curriculum. If successful, you'll be expected to work closely with the full class teachers to plan and assess learning whilst continually encouraging learning and guiding children to meet their learning outcomes.

A KS2 Intervention teacher is required for a large 2 form entry primary school in Oldham. The school has a 'good' rating from Ofsted when last inspected in 2016. The Headteacher and Governors of the school are looking for a teacher who is able to use their initiative to overcome misconceptions whilst being involved with all aspects of school life. The school is friendly and inclusive, very much at the heart of the community. They aim to produce confident and happy individuals by fostering a secure and caring environment.
About the role:
This OFSTED 'good' primary school is looking for a KS2 Intervention teacher who can work predominately with Yr6 but across the whole of key stage 2. You will be working closely with all teachers to ensure planning is relevant and challenging for groups of children who are low and high ability. It is important that the successful candidate has sound knowledge of the Yr6 curriculum and is comfortable and adept at teaching across the whole of Key Stage 2. The priority will be to boost attainment in Yr6 but there may be times that you would be used to cover course, PPA or sickness.
Part of the role will be to forge closer working relationships with the parents to encourage learning at home. The school see this as a critical development to the success of their pupils. Ideal candidates will have strong curriculum knowledge and will ensure that the lessons they deliver are of excellent quality using innovative and engaging approaches, ensuring that the students are having fun whilst making progress!
To be considered for this Intervention Teacher position, you must:
Have recent experience in KS2
Have the ability to plan and deliver effective intervention sessions for children of mixed abilities
