Location: Whistleberry Distribution Centre Job Type: Warehouse/FLT driver Hours: 35hrs + Overtime as required Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 07:00 – 15:30 (May vary depending on requirements) Salary: £9.01 per hour OVERVIEW Menzies Distribution has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Operative with a vocational license to join our Whistleberry based Retail Logistics team. Our team play a vital role in supporting our UK & Ireland operations to systematically plan, implement and control the efficient movement of goods (and storage). The role will involve you safely loading and unloading stock from our HGV’s into the warehouse, supporting the stock control team to efficiently manage inbound and outbound deliveries and proactively packing, scanning and sorting items for despatch. Our operations team are great with people and instinctively know what needs to be done to put things right meaning you’ll be in great company. From day one our team will provide ongoing training allowing you to get up to speed quickly. Once you are up and running you will genuinely play an important role in ensuring all customer orders are accurately prepared and dispatched. WHAT YOU WILL DO Unload HGVs delivering into the site Load trucks with finished palletised goods Ensure products and materials are moved safely and efficiently Sort and accurately record deliveries Pick and pack to customer specifications Breakdown, allocate and load outbound deliveries Checking the quality, quantity, and condition of pallets Assist as required within all operational work areas Support stock counts and movements Keep the warehouse safe, clean, and tidy Adhere to company procedures and policies WHAT YOU NEED Hold a valid forklift licence (PPT desired, counterbalance essential) Experience of working in a warehouse environment A positive ‘can do’ and hardworking approach to work Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team Ability to prioritise and manage tasks in a pressurised environment Comfortable working to strict deadlines Flexible attitude to working rotational shift patterns Computer literate HOW WE WILL REWARD YOU In addition to a competitive remuneration package and company benefits, we provide ongoing development and learning programmes, services and support designed to help you manage and balance your work/life priorities. 31 Days Annual Leave Pension Scheme Life Cover Cycle to Work Scheme Eye Care INCLUSION At Menzies Distribution Limited, we want everyone to feel welcome, regardless of your background or needs.
