We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate consultant to work in the emergency department at University Hospital Southampton (UHS). You will be working alongside experienced colleagues, all with a wide range of interests including education, prehospital medicine, simulation, quality improvement, trauma and critical care. Your development of portfolio careers will be encouraged and individuals’ skills and interests nurtured. The role involves a mix of shift times, including some nights, as per overall consultant rota.
You will be joining a team of 25 emergency care consultants and 2 associate specialist with a further 6 Consultant Paediatric Emergency Physicians. The ED medical team is further complemented by a nursing team including a Professor of Emergency Nursing and 3 other Consultant Nurses, 3 RCEM credentialed ACP’s as well as a team of ANPs and ENPs. The team works closely with other specialties, particularly acute medicine, and has a nationally leading SDEC
