Job description    2021-04-08

Proud to wear our purple uniform
Someone once called our team the ‘Backbone of our Hospitals’ and it has certainly stuck! We couldn’t run our hospitals without you and the fantastic work you will do keeping our wards, departments and areas clean, tidy, reducing the risk of infections and effectively helping keep our staff well and our patients safe.
We know you will love the work you do, seeing how you make such a big impact in keeping everything ticking over smoothly; your dedication will shine through. We want you to be proud to wear the purple coloured domestic assistant uniform, feeling a strong and vital part of our hospital
team – knowing you are working side by side on the front-lines making a HUGE difference every single day.

Proud to support our Hospitals
Friendly, reliable, experienced and conscientious describe the kind of people we need urgently to support our Hospitals as we all work together to keep everything running as smoothly as possible
despite the unprecedented circumstances we are in. Being on our bank means we will call on you when we need you to offer you hours to work.
We need people with cleaning experience to help us on a casual basis to fill the gaps we have right across Chorley and Preston Hospitals in our Domestic Services teams, working together as part of a
whole team to ensure the best environment for our patients to receive their treatment. The job description outlines the different tasks that you will be involved in and there will be some training when you start too. We are looking for people to support at Preston Hospital or Chorley Hospital, being flexible to undertake whatever duties we may need you to.

There are all sorts of training opportunities to ensure you have all the right knowledge to do the role and we actively encourage you to develop and support you to progress within the organisation if that’s what you are looking for.
In particular we are looking for motivated individuals that are able to work in both clinical and nonclinical areas for various shift patterns covering both day and evening shifts. Go home at the end of your shift knowing you played your part in making our hospitals a great place
to be cared for. We have a variety of shift patterns available, so welcome you to state on your application form what kind of hours you are looking for.
There are various Options for Start & Finishing times as follows:
Day Shift Options = 7am to 9am start – Finishing 1.30pm or 2.30pm
Evening Shift Options= 5pm/6pm/7pm – Finishing 8pm/9pm or 10p
