The role will include working closely with Offenders, Prison Staff and Stakeholders. You will manage a caseload and work closely with them their career in custody.Some of the main accountabilities will include: Train the prison workforce in IAG to level 3/4To proactively manage the rehabilitation of service users in Custody and across the gate to support the overall objective to reduce reoffending and risk of harm on release.Ensure the coordination of HMP Stakeholder interventions ensuring they are arranged and delivered.Review the Prisoner Learning Plans (PLPs) for all prisoners arriving at the Establishment.Complete progress reviews of the PLPs in line with where the prisoner is in their sentenceTo liaise with community-based partners to co-design sustainable rehabilitation networks. To demonstrate a personalised approach with a focus on enablers and strengths of the individualWork effectively with all resettlement partners, as well as other departments within the establishment.Input into employability sessions on courses delivered by other providers, e.g. Education.Ensure all pertinent information gathered by the prisoners over their sentence is electronically moved to their Virtual Campus account with a transition to services in the community for continued support through the gate.For those unable to gain employment immediately on release, transfer them to service providers in the community (e.g. National Careers Service) to ensure continuity of service on release in supporting their progression into learning and employmentWhat skills, experience, and qualifications are we looking for?Level 4 IAG Qualified or working towardsAssessors qualification or relevant teaching qualification or working towardsKnowledge of working with employersExperience of working with individuals with barriers in to workExperience/knowledge of working within a prison environmentMaths and English qualifications at Level 2 or above.Car EssentialAs a recognised, highly inclusive employer, we are particularly interested in receiving applications from Black and Minority, Ethnic (BAME) communities, LGBTQ+ communities, individuals living with disabilities and from applicants where sectors are typically misrepresented by gender stereotypes.Acorn Training aspires to be a Positive About Disabled Lead employer.We welcome site visits and informal discussions by telephone to find out more.Expected start date: 01/04/2021Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £24,000.00-£27,000.00 per yearCOVID-19 considerations:
