Split across our Reservations, Customer Support, Web, Owner Performance and Customer and Owner Relations teams, we embody our Sykes ethos in every aspect of the customer journey from initial bookings to cancellations and through to customer and owner enquiries. We are immensely proud of each and every one of our team members, who are all true experts in their area – using their outstanding knowledge to build long standing, trusting rapports with our customer and owners to exceed their monthly business targets and maintain our reputation of gold standard customer service. Our Operations team year-on-year act as the driving force in our ongoing success and are one of our most continuously successful areas of our entire business.As our newest addition, you will be responsible for delivering the highest levels of quality and customer service during each and every inbound and outbound call. You will be responsible for finding Sykes customers their perfect holiday with every contact, sharing your great experiences and giving excellent service to our customers and using your skills to recommend products to enhance their holiday.We are looking for candidates who have previous experience within a sales environment – handling inbound and outbound calls - and a strong track record of working successfully to sales targets. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to quickly build a rapport with a new customer, as well as good negotiation skills. You will also be IT literate, and be prepared to recognise and suggest improvement areas for the business.To succeed in the role, you will be motivated and results driven with an ability to work under pressure. You will be customer-orientated and an excellent team player. You will also be reliable and punctual with good attention to detail.This is the perfect position for an experience sales professional with a strong track record of working to (and exceeding) agreed targets for booking conversion and maximising sales opportunities Reporting directly into our Reservations Team Manager you will have the following key skills: Previous commercial Customer Service experienceExcellent attention to detailAbility to perform well under pressureDriven attitude and excellent work ethicProven track record meeting sales targets within a commercial environmentPrevious experience working within a call centre and an excellent phone mannerHours of work will be 37.5 per week to be worked on a shift-rota basis covering evenings and two weekends a month. Department opening hours are 9am - 7pm however during peak times these will be extended to 9pm.Applicants must be available to start on Mon, 22 March 2021Please note: Whilst our offices remain closed for the time being due to the latest lockdown restrictions, this position will be based at our Chester Head Office when normality resumed.
