Job Title: Library Assistant
Location: Stevenage
Salary Range: £18,562 - £19,698 pa (pro rata for part-time)
Hours: 27 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

Job Duties: Working as part of a team, you will deliver excellent customer service to library customers, ensuring all information, services and resources are available and promoted to members of the public. The post holder will work as part of a team, to help make the resources of the library and information service available to all customers, including those at a disadvantage. S/he will be computer and internet literate and be able to provide a variety of administrative duties in a fast and efficient manner. The post holder will be required to deliver a high level of customer service by assisting members of the public, delivering Library based events and supporting the Library Manager with outreach activities. Hertfordshire County Council have awarded the contract to deliver the Library Service to Libraries for Life, an independent organisation with charitable status. The proposed date for transition to Libraries for Life is still to be confirmed. At the point of transition all Hertfordshire County Council Libraries employees will be transferred to Libraries for Life under TUPE rules and regulations. Closing Date: 7th March 2021
