Job description 2021-02-23
We are currently recruiting for an Administrative Officer, on a 12 months fixed term basis, to support the expansion of our Business Support Team in the East of England specifically working on our response to COVID-19 and supporting our test and trace programme. The role will be working virtually adhering to COVID-19 social distancing guidelines, with a requirement to work from our Fulbourn office up to 3 days per week on a rota basis.
This post will have a primary focus on providing support to our Business Operations Manager overseeing the Test and Trace programme, including supporting the onboarding of bank staff, local inductions and providing secretariat support to team meetings. This role will also be required to work flexibly to support staff across all our areas of work if required.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals, with excellent administrative skills and the ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships. Candidates should have a flexible approach to their work and be able to work independently and at times under minimal supervision.
The post holders will be expected to demonstrate strong communication and written skills as these roles will be required to communicate on a regular basis with a wide range of staff and stakeholders. The individual should be enthusiastic with a pro-active and professional approach at all times.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic person to join the Business Support Team as an Administrative Officer, at a very busy and important time. While we are working hard to control and prevent the spread of COVID-19, post holders will share the responsibility, alongside other Administration Officers within the team, to support all functions across the Region and work collaboratively to ensure the COVID-19 response is as effective as possible.
This post will be part of PHE East of England’s Business Support team. The team plays a vital role in enabling the delivery of the Regions work on health protection, health and wellbeing, and healthcare public health, and the Centre’s corporate and management functions. Our Business Support staff work as a single team across different sites in the East of England and have a key role to play in the implementation of new models of working across the Centre.
