Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant – STEM Subjects / Behaviour Focus – Enfield, NW London - ASAPQ – Are you a STEM graduate with excellent people skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure? A brilliant specialist secondary school in Enfield, north London is searching for a STEM Graduate to work as a Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant within the classroom with students who are studying science and maths subjects.This Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant role involves working closely with secondary school students who tend to display challenging behaviour, while also working in conjunction with the class teachers and the multidisciplinary team of trained professional therapists.The Behaviour Mentor /Teaching Assistant will need to have a good understanding of Science / STEM subject(s), at GCSE, A Level or even a Degree in Science / STEM subjects! Not necessarily all Science / STEM subjects though, as the main thing is that the Behaviour Mentor /Teaching Assistant is a good communicator around GCSE level Science / STEM subjects, is personable, calm, and able to relate to students who are experiencing difficulties in moderating their behaviour.Further details of the Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant (Science / STEM) opportunity are….· Full-time, long-term position - £70-£95 per day, plus a £675 per year healthcare package · Behaviour and Academic Mentor to secondary school students – Science / STEM subjects - GCSE· The Behaviour Mentor will need to have a degree (in any subject) and ideally an A grade in a Science / STEM subject at GCSE· Students will be experiencing difficulties around Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)· Previous Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Mentor experience is preferred, but not essential· Patient, personable, highly dependable, able to work in confidence, professional outlook· Alternative Provision school based in Enfield, NW London· Trial Days for ASAP starts are available from w/c 1st March 2021This Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant role can be hugely rewarding, as the aim is to transform young lives by inspiring and leading by example.
