SEN Support Worker Lambeth March 2021 start Remedy is currently working with a large SEN primary school in Lambeth, who are recruiting for several specialist support workers to start in March 2021. All positions are full time, ongoing via the agency. The school caters for students aged 2-11 with an EHCP for PMLD, Autism (ASD) and complex needs. They have a strong academic focus; however, they also wish to develop student's independence in a fun and nurturing way. Shortlisted candidates must have previous SEN experience, especially PMLD and complex needs. You will be working in a class of 4-6 pupils providing 1:1 support. Classes are generally formed based on age groups, however there will be varying abilities, with some students being non-verbal, therefore PECs and Makaton are a must. There will also be personal care involved, so in date manual handling training is required. Training in tracheostomy and PEG feeding is advantageous.
