Operations Assistant required to join established Freight Forwarder
Main responsibilities:
1 Handle Air Freight shipments Import & Export
2 Cross trained on Ocean
3 Knowledge of E-Customs Platform
4 Boxtop system knowledge
5 To help with all aspects of import and export airfreight duties
6 To handle Customs entries
7 Liaising with airlines
8 Speaking with clients on a daily basis
Knowledge, skills and experience required
Essential
A minimum of 5 years experience in Imports and ideally both. You would be crosstrained where you don't have experience
Clean driving licence
Basic computer knowledge
Compulsory checks
A criminal record check - basic disclosure (DBS) carried out by the Disclosure and Barring Service
5 year referencing history with gaps in employment scrutinised and accounted for
Hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday
