HR AssistantWe’re looking for a dedicated HR Assistant to assist with the day to day operations of the HR department. Surecare Group operate care homes for vulnerable people.Hours of workMonday - Friday9.30am - 2.30pmSummary of responsibilitiesAdministration and coordination of the recruitment and selection processes, ensuring appointments are made in a timely and efficient manner and all appropriate checks have been made to satisfy Regulatory Standards. To support HR with managing job vacancies and interested candidates. Responsible for maintaining job vacancies on the website and candidates applying via the website.Duties includeMaintaining and ensuring that job applications are forwarded to the relevant managerFollow up with the recruiting manager where necessary to ensure that there are no delays in the process from application to interviewSupport with communicating with candidates via phone and email prior to interview and dealing with any queries that ariseFollow up with candidates re incomplete application formsPosting job vacancies on website, social media websitesResponsible for the HR inboxInputting absence details from return to work forms and fit notes, ensuring all information is passed to payrollProduce monthly HR metrics – absence stats, staff turnover stats and retention report by the 5th of the monthEnsure job descriptions and person specifications are up to dateEnsure that shortlisting takes place within the given timescale following the closing date and invite shortlisted candidates to the selection processAttend selection processes to support the service where appropriateProduce offer letters and associated documentation, ensuring recruitment checks are carried out, including checking gaps in employment, eligibility to live and work in the UK, satisfactory references and DBS checkCoordinate start dates for new employees once all checks have been undertaken and produce appropriate documentationProducing Terms and Conditions of Employment (from templates) for all staff and any amendments to an employee’s terms and conditions of employment during the course of employmentProducing HR staff files as per standard requirements and for ensuring that records are kept up to date and filed as per the agreed protocolPerson SpecificationGood standard of education – minimum of 3 GCSE’s grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language and Maths.A working knowledge of HR policies and procedures, with previous HR experience in an HR environment.Effective IT and HR systems knowledgeA working knowledge of best practice recruitment and selection methods.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to plan and organise own time effectivelyAbility to stay calm in difficult situationsFull driving licence and use of own vehicleContract length: 6 monthsPart-time hours: 25 per weekJob Types: Part-time, TemporarySalary: Up to £12.00 per hourSchedule:Monday to FridayExperience:Human Resources: 3 years (Preferred)Licence/Certification:Driving Licence (Required)Work remotely:No
