About the Opportunity

St. Luke's Academy is looking for an Assistant Principal to lead and work closely with the Principal in ensuring the successful delivery of strategic development of the Academy’s Special Educational Needs & Disability (SEND) provision, with oversight of the day-to-day operation of that policy with the aim of raising Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) student achievement.

Our AP will ensure the success of SEND students, monitoring and leading strategically on the SEND provision and act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the Academy, ensuring there are policies, procedures, systems, structures, resources and personnel in place to promote the welfare and protection of children at the Academy.

You Will Have:
QTS
Evidence of and open to CPD
Level 3 Safeguarding expertise and experience
Deal positively with pressure and work to deadlines
Commitment to inclusive education
Leading on all aspects of safeguarding and supervision
Evidence of partaking in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings
Able to keep detailed, accurate and secure written records of concerns and referrals
Experience in matters of safety, safeguarding and supervision
