Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist looking to join a supportive multi disciplinary team with a view to maximising potential and improving quality of life for our Service Users? The Hampshire and Southampton Intensive Support Team (IST) works alongside the Community Learning Disability Teams in helping to devise the best support for adults whose behaviour challenges services. We are looking to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist, on a permanent and full-time basis, to be part of an MDT that includes Psychology, Nursing, Behaviour Specialists, Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy. The IST is a relatively small team with a reduced caseload, allowing focussed team working to support services and families to be able to meet complex needs more effectively within a Positive Behaviour Support framework. The role includes some leadership and supervision of unregistered staff as well as an expectation to participate in the ongoing development of the team. Why join us?
