An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Executive Assistant (EA) to provide board level, high quality, professional and confidential provision of a broad range of administrative/secretarial and project/event management support to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Head of CMO Service. You will also provide adhoc administrative support to the wider medical leadership team as needed.
The role will be varied and previous experience as a personal/executive assistant is desirable, although there will be scope for a person with the right aptitude to be trained and grow into the role.
Some of the day to day duties will include:
Pro-active, complex diary management and ensuring all pre-meeting information is available in good time for review ahead of meetings Efficient and sensitive response to calls and correspondence; understanding and resolving difficult issues and/or referring on as appropriate Arranging meetings/events/training sessions/visits and supporting logistics Provide administrative support for meetings, including compiling agendas, organising papers, taking/transcribing minutes at meetings and maintaining action trackers Drafting, reviewing and reformating papers and presentations What we look for:
Excellent organisational skills Strong administrative experience Excellent written and verbal communication and the confidence to communicate with people at all levels inside and outside the organisation Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive matters A flexible and pro-active approach to work and willingness to cover for colleagues when needed Experience of working in the NHS and/or working knowledge of medical staff terms and conditions would be advantageous What we offer:
