About the site Normanton is home to our head office and is also the largest of our operational sites where we pack fresh fruit, salad and vegetables. Several of our support functions are based here as well as the majority of our Commercial and Buying teams. Our pack house is in operation 24 hours a day and 364 days a year, employing over 700 colleagues. We offer a broad range of roles based at site from Production Operatives to Technical Managers, Business Unit Administrators to IT Specialists. About the Role An excellent opportunity has arisen for a conscientious and autonomous Quality Assurance Inspector to join our expanding fresh produce business within our Normanton, West Yorkshire site. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate, timely inspection of raw material from arrival through to production. Ensuring inspections are completed to meet all relevant legislative, food safety and quality status prior to production. Shift Pattern - 4 on 4 off, 7am - 7pm & 10am - 10pm Key responsibilities include: Responsible for the quality, labelling & packaging assessments on arrival and prior to production, at intake and during storage The reporting of inspections and escalation of non-conformance in line with procedures and policies Ensure all reports, daily checks and documentation are completed accurately, in a timely manner and non-conformances are reported and actioned on a daily basis. Support with collection of shelf-life samples and recorded of results Interact with the sites operations to ensure compliance is being maintained at all times. 4 on 4 off days only 7amto 7pm/10am to 10pm Skills & Experience Required: Excellent IT Skills, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel Previous experience working in a factory environment Previous QA experience Basic Food Hygiene Certificate A desire to develop and grow beyond this role Excellent Communication skills What's in it for you?
