We are seeking to recruit a Deputy Head of Estates, Facilities and Health & Safety to assist & deputise as necessary for the Head of Estates, Facilities and Health & Safety. As the post-holder you will contribute to the expert leadership, professional advice, guidance and support on all aspects of site services, facilities management and health & safety, which will ensure that the organisation complies with NHS Guidance, CQC requirements and statutory legislation.
The post holder will provide health & safety guidance to DHU Health Care CIC. This will involve developing, managing and monitoring a Health & Safety strategy which ensures that DHU is fully aware of its responsibilities in demonstrating compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
The role requires the post holder to have the ability to manage a varied and complex workload and also have technical knowledge of building services, and as you will be partially responsible for a budget, you will need to be able to control efficiently and manage it and have the ability to make decisions quickly.
Applicants must ideally possess the following qualifications and attributes:
5 years minimum Experience of providing facilities management and health & safety services in the NHS, healthcare sector or in a large complex organisation Leadership qualification or evidence of formal leadership training Experience of implementing safety management principles arising from HSG 65 in a large and complex organisation• • Comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety legislation codes of practice, standards and any other regulatory requirements with the ability to interpret and advise on their implications within the NHS and healthcare sector Evidence of significant contribution to health and safety developments within a complex organization In return we can offer you a rewarding role within a 'not for profit' organisation with generous holiday entitlement and excellent benefits, plus inclusion into the NHS Pension.
